Paper Rosettes in Shadowbox Frame

How cute is this to hang on your wall?! It's super easy and fun too. I made these little rosettes using the Paper Roses template at The Digi Chick. I picked some papers that went with the decor in my house, added them to the template and then printed them out. To make sure the back of the paper was colored as well, I flipped over the paper and then printed on the back side.
Once they were assembled, I dusted them with some glitter and voila! They were done. This project only costed about $4. I bought the shadowbox in plain wood at hobby lobby. I then painted it to my liking and added the flowers. This is now hanging on my wall and when the light hits it, you can really see the glitter glowing!

Kelleigh has these cute little treat bag templates out at The Digi Chick! I used Pamela Donnis's Collage Cuts Alpha and her School Stuff kit! I made this little bag for my daughter who is starting school for the first time this week!! I figured I would put a few little treats in it and maybe a picture of Mommy and Daddy in it so she doesn't feel so sad to leave us!

Advent Calendar!

I am never satisfied with the advent calendars they sell at the stores so I decided to make my own this year! It's made out of a mini muffin tin and of course digital scrapbooking supplies as well as some ribbon, buttons, twin, etc. I put magnets on the back so I can reuse for next year! I plan on filling it with candy and some fun festive activities!!

Hybrid Ornament!

Kelleigh is doing 30 ornaments in 30 days to show you all how you can make some awesome hybrid projects just in time for the holidays! These will make great gifts or even decor for your house! I used the Perfect Pumpkin Template by Kelleigh. Paper used is by Kelley Mickus from her Nov Grab Bag. I just placed the paper over the template and printed it out on regular matte photo paper. I cut out the template and assembled it. The only tricky part was stringing the large beads through the ornament. I made a slit in the bottom of the template and gently glided it all the way through to the top. That was honestly the hardest part! hehe! So, once it was assemebled and all the edges were glued together, I adorned it with some pretty jewels and a nice big fat ribbon on top! I can't wait to put this on my Christmas tree! I hope you enjoyed this cute little project! Stay tuned for some awesome new things to come and some more awesome ornament ideas! Photobucket

Hop Aboard!!

Kelleigh Ratzlaff is having ANOTHER Blog Hop this week and I get to be a part of it!! WOOHOO! She makes amazing stuff and there are endless things you can do with them! Today I want to show you my newest creation using her "Jewelry Box" Template and it's available at Shabby Pickle Designs!!! Don't worry though, it will still be released at The Digi Chick after this month is over!

Here is my version of it! I used Shabby Princess's Kit Festival for the box.

The little flowers are made using other papers in the "Festival" kit. I just cut them out into flowers and the added a little mod podge to them and curled up the edges to resemble flowers. I added a button and a sweet little tag with my initial on it! This is what it looks like when you open it! You can put so many little things in here and it would make a great gift to someone! I hope you've enjoyed my little creation! Now hop on over to the other ladies blogs to check out what else is new with Kelleigh and her amazing designs! One lucky winner will be chosen to win the "Pefect Pumpkin" box just for leaving a comment on Kelleigh's blog!

Perfect Pumpkin!!!

I am SOOO excited to be joining another hybrid team!!! Kelleigh Ratzlaff has graciously allowed me to be on her CT ever since I became addicted to hybrid projects! Don't get me wrong, I still love regular scrapping but I love getting my hands dirty and creating beautiful pieces of work that I can decorate my house or give gifts with!! Anyway, my first project was to make this adorable pumpkin box using the Perfect Pumpkin Tempate. I decided to go all out and make a centerpiece for my dining room table! I gathered some sticks in the yard and glued them together, made my little boxes, added a few leaves and voila! Here is my new autumn centerpiece! I love the way it turned out! Head on over to The Digi Chick to pick up this template! It's perfect for autumn!

My 1st hybrid template... and a freebie!

Hey everyone! I have recently become addicted to hybrid projects and I wanted to share a little something with you! I made these for my Mom and the ladies she works with. I had a ton of fun making these! The memo or post it note holder was a fabulous idea from Juliemomof4. She is super talented as well and she got me hooked on hybrid! The notepad cover is a template from the fabulous designer Mel Wilson and her kit Hybrid Gift Pack! Check out these photos....
Everything was made using the awesome collab kit by Mel Wilson and Mari Koegelenberg available at The Digi Chick! You can also buy bits and pieces of the collab! The little buttons are from GingerScraps kit Fancy Fall.
OK so now I challenge you to make a littly hybrid for yourself! They are really fun and all you need are a few supplies! This free template is the exact size you need. Just add your papers, elements and print! Easy Peasy!
Supplies I used:
Scrap kit of your choice
Matte Photo Paper
Chipboard or recycled cardboard (I've used a cereal box before!)
Mod Podge or really good glue stick
Metal clips
Ribbon
Distressed Ink (optional)
When I went to make this I had most of this stuff lying around already! So what are you waiting for? Click the preview to download or click here.
Thanks for looking!! Good Luck!
PNG Files included!

Candy Bar Box

So Mel (The Hybrid Kid) has this awesome new hybrid template out in her store today! It's a candy bar box but it can be used for much more than that!! You can use it as a money holder since the holidays are right around the corner, or you can do what I did and create your own gift certificates! My hubby is away for a few weeks and I wanted to cheer him up by sending him a little incentive to hurry home :) I made him these certificates and he can redeem them to me whenever he chooses. Good for a back rub, foot massage, car wash etc. Cool huh?! Photobucket

Bow holder

I've been very busy with my arts and crafts lately! I am doing some awesome hybrid projects! I'm in the process of changing Kylie's room theme and I made her a new bow holder.... I took photo paper and used a digital scrap booking paper then glued it....
then to add a little bit of contrast I inked the edges...
And finally to add a little dimension, the "K" is on foam dots to stand out. It's made out of another scrap paper and I just cut out the initial. It was soo easy and fun!
